Makes no difference if he’s playing a wizard or a young father facing down a demon – the fans love Daniel Radcliffe. And last week’s premiere of Woman In Black was no exception – the star of the new horror-thriller drew a big crowd as he posed on the red carpet at the film’s opening in Los Angeles, Calif. on Thursday (February 2).
At least, almost everyone was happy to see him – there were also a few grim-faced, walking dead who were there to ‘greet’ him. Turns out they were some lucky fans who were plucked from the crowd to help welcome Daniel to the dark side.
The 21-year-old star of the Harry Potter franchise recently talked about how the snubbing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 by the Oscar voters has bothered him more than he’d let on.
“There’s a certain amount of snobbery,” Daniel told the Radio Times. “It’s kind of disheartening. I never thought I’d care. But it would’ve been nice to have some recognition, just for the hours put in.
“I don’t think the Oscars like commercial films, or kids’ films, unless they’re directed by Martin Scorsese,” he added. “I was watching Hugo the other day and going, ‘Why was this nominated and we’re not?’ I was slightly miffed.”
