Lily Collins promotes her new movie Mirror, Mirror in the March 2012 issue of Seventeen magazine. The 22-year-old daughter of Phil Collins opens up on her ex Taylor Lautner, her eyebrows, and her thoughts on finding love.
On Taylor Lautner: “He’s a talented actor and a gentleman. Taylor is very humble. He has so many fans and he never forgets that. He really appreciates the support that he’s gotten through the years, and he gives it right back – to me, that makes a good leading man.”
On what she’s looking for in a boyfriend: “Somebody who can make me laugh at the drop of a hat, and is an old-school gentleman, who sweeps me off my feet in a quirky way, either by writing me a letter or surprising me. I like someone I can have a really fun time with and be extremely goofy with, but at the same time have a serious conversation with.”
On finding love: “My advice for girls who are waiting for their Prince Charming is to be open for anything. Be open to new experiences, be open to the idea that it may take longer than you want, but if you’re open to meeting new people and new adventures, then love will come along.”
On her eyebrows: “It used to bother me – having bigger, fuller brows. I even plucked them once so I’d fit in, but I hated them and couldn’t wait for them to grow back. Now I embrace them. I’ve realized the quirky things that make you different are what make you beautiful.”
