Here’s one bully that Justin Bieber is willing to help out. The singer has put his support behind the film Bully by lending his song ‘Born To Be Somebody’ for a new trailer and TV spot that will advertise the film’s upcoming wide release.
Justin has been vocal about his admiration for the Weinstein Company film on Twitter, calling it “intense” and “powerful” and urging his fans to go see the documentary for themselves.
In a statement the 18-year-old thanked his fans, praising their dedication to causes as “one of the things I’m most proud of as an entertainer,“ and stressed his support for the film. “I hope they see Bully with their friends and help start the conversation so we can end bullying,” he said.
Justin joins fellow actors in the Bully campaign – Glee stars Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera previously recorded anti-bullying PSA’s in partnership with GLAAD and The Weinstein Company.
