The Wanted singer Tom Parker says he feels sorry for Britney Spears.
Referring to the time the band supported her in Manchester – Parker tells TOTP magazine, “Britney’s beautiful and a nice girl, but when we met her, I expected her to have more personality. I feel sorry for her cos she’s had a lot of stress in the last five years, and she’s done so much from a young age. I guess it’s the same with (fellow band member) Nathan. He started young and I’m sure in 10 years, if we’re still going, he’s going to be like, ‘When is this going to end?’ ”
Parker – whose hit single with the band is Glad You Came – says being famous isn’t always great.
“Fame has its benefits, but it definitely has its negatives, too – like the amount of hours you have to work. Plus, everyone thinks I get to hang around with celebrities all day long, but it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I wouldn’t change things for the world though – I just love doing music.”
This isn’t the first time The Wanted have voiced their opinions on a singer. When they appeared on The Voice and met Christina Aguilera – Siva Kaneswaran said, “she was quite rude.” They later apologized for the comment.
