Miranda Cosgrove recently finished filming on the sixth and final season of her hit series iCarly, but the 19-year-old already has plans for her future in place: she’ll be starting her freshman year at the University Of Southern California (USC) in the fall.
“We’re finished with iCarly forever, which is kind of crazy,” she said, adding that the final taping was “emotional.”
“Especially during the last scene, everyone started crying,” she says. “But I’m also excited to start college.”
The actress – who started filming iCarly at 13 – says she’s definitely ready for the new experience. “I’m looking forward to being back in a school environment after doing home schooling for so long,” says Miranda, who plans to major in either theater or writing. “I’m just excited to meet people and learn.”
“And I’m excited for theater,” she continued. “I’ve been acting for a while but theater is pretty different. I’ve never been in a play.
“I want to keep acting and I thought it would be easier if I lived in L.A.,” Miranda said, of her choice of schools. “And I get to stay near my family.”
