Carly Rae Jepsen‘s much-anticipated album ‘Kiss’ isn’t set to drop until September 18, but Interscope records decided to give fans a sneak peek at the album cover on their Facebook page. The cover photo features the ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer posing against a hot-pink background and wearing a red top and aqua skirt belted with a big purple bow. The ’80’s, maybe?
In a statement released earlier this month, Carly talked about who inspired the songs on ‘Kiss.’ “These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years,” she said. “I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone! Kiss.”
The list of songwriters and producers on the album reads like a who’s who of A-list talent, as does her collaborators – fans will hear ‘Good Time,’ Carly‘s duet with Owl City as well as the much-hyped but super secret collaboration with her mentor Justin Bieber.
“The Justin song, I’m kind of sworn to secrecy on because I think we want to release it together at one moment,” the 26-year-old told MTV News. “But the rest of the album, I’m really excited for.”
