Looks like Robert Pattinson isn’t the only one moving on from Kristen Stewart. The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Universal has decided not to invite the actress back to the planned follow-up to Snow White And The Huntsman. Instead, the sequel will be more of a spinoff featuring Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman. Ouch.
No one is saying whether the decision has anything to do with Kristen‘s affair with her married Snow White director Rupert Sanders, although sources are confirming that he will return to work on the new film. And then there are those reports that have Rupert’s wife Liberty Ross forbidding her cheating husband from ever working with Kristen again. I guess we all saw that one coming.
Although E! News is reporting that Kristen was not dropped from the film because she was never officially attached to it, the HR says it’s highly unusual for studios not to use stars from a movie franchise in both the first and second installments, and that the original plan was to make two films featuring the Snow White character and the Hunstman wouldn’t be spun off until the third.
Even Universal Pictures was adding fuel to the fire, releasing a cryptic, non-committal statement. “We are exploring options to continue the franchise and no decisions have been made,” said their rep.
