Glee’s Lea Michele turns 26 today! Born in the Bronx and raised in Tenafly, New Jersey the actress started her career as a child actor in Broadway musicals such as Les Misérables, Ragtime and Fiddler On the Roof.
Now a fixture on Fox’s hit show – she’s currently filming the fourth season with her cast mates. In the new episodes Lea’s character Rachel arrives in New York City alone. However on Twitter she mentions that she reunites with her onscreen boyfriend Finn – played by real-life lover Cory Monteith.
She recently wrote: “Morning! Back at work getting ready to shoot with @chriscolfer @CoryMonteith and @DarrenCriss today! Super excited!”
Being in Glee was the natural choice for her. Lea said in the current issue of Nylon magazine that nothing shocks her.
“I grew up in a very, very different world than a lot of people did. Everyone I knew was gay–the weirdos were the straight people. Obviously we don’t just deal with homosexuality on Glee, but nothing shocks me. Nothing.”
