The camera loves Zac Efron, and so do the crowds at the Toronto International Film Festival. The actor posed for a few pics on the red carpet at the premiere of his film At Any Price, and then greeted a sea of outstretched hands waiting for his autograph.
Zac‘s latest film is a drama set in a Southern Iowa farming community. The 24-year-old actor plays a farmer’s son who has no interest in taking up the family business, but is instead pursuing a career as a stock car racer and dreams of making it to NASCAR.
But High School Musical fans take note: Zac is eager to get back to his first love – musicals! “Without a doubt, I’d love to do Broadway. I actually can’t wait to get back to musical theater,” he said in a recent interview. “There’s a part of me that wishes I could go do it right now, but there’s also a part of me that knows I need to tackle other types of acting opportunities first.
“I want to be a well-rounded, versatile performer. Until I master other things, it would be hard for me to get back to musical theater. But that will always be my home base and where I feel the most free, and it’s something I will definitely do again, even it it’s just for pleasure and personal fulfillment.”
