It’s a perfect day for a picnic. The Broadway play, that is. Chace Crawford attended the opening night performance of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play ‘Picnic’ in New York City on Sunday (January 13).
The Gossip Girl actor – dressed casually in a white t-shirt and dark jacket – was spotted as he entered the American Airlines Theatre. ‘Picnic’ is getting a revival on Broadway from the Roundabout Theatre and stars Twilight actress Maggie Grace.
Chace recently said goodbye to his Gossip Girl co-stars after six years of playing Nate Archibald on the hit CW series.
“It was a surreal experience,” he said of the last day of filming with Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Penn Badgley and Leighton Meester. “Like leaving college, just without a degree.”
So what’s up next for the 27-year-old actor? “I just want to be working. I want to do something really shocking. I know I’m capable of it. The right thing just has to come up.”
