Taylor Swift: Anxiety Means I’ll Start Writing

Taylor Swift performed five songs at the LP Field stadium on Thursday night (June 6) for the CMA Music Festival. Speaking backstage to reporters Swift shared that she’s feeling the itch to write again.

According to USA Today she said, “It’s starting. All the anxiety is starting. When the anxiety starts, the writing happens right after, usually. Whatever I write in the first year is going to get thrown away. I’m going to like it, but it’s going to sound like the last record. The second year usually sounds like the next project.”

She added, “I think you need to change up your influences. I think you need to be inspired by different things than you were inspired by before.”

The 22 singer also talked about singing As Tears Gone By with the Rolling Stones at their final Chicago concert Monday night. Swift admitted, “It just was everything that you think it would be… But better.”

Besides being on tour it seems she has found time to hang out with friends. On Wednesday (June 5) she re-tweeted a photo with the caption: “@taylorswift thank you for such an amazing birthday! I love you so much! You are a true friend.”
