Justin Bieber will soon be out of this world — literally. The singer and his manager Scooter Braun recently signed up to be part of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic program, designed to take civilians (and rock stars) and blast them 62-miles into space. Branson tweeted:
“Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!”
The trip will take approximately two days and won’t come cheap – amateur astronauts will pay a whopping $250,000 for a seat. Other celebs who have already signed up for the space adventure are Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Aston Kutcher, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
The Virgin Galactic program is tentatively set to launch as early as 2014. The next question is: Will Selena Gomez be blasting off alongside Justin?
