Carly Rae Jepsen: Amusement Park Fun

Carly Rae Jepsen shared photos of herself enjoying amusement park rides and on stage in Portland, Oregon with her sister Katie over the weekend. She was in town to perform at the Tom McCall Waterfront park.

She tweeted to her sister on Monday (June 10), “Miss u already @katiejepsen <3 We were the only ones above the age of 4 on that ride… And I think we screamed the loudest! Lol”

The singer also had a great view from her room. With a snapshot of a ferris wheel she told fans. “The view from my hotel widow. How convenient that I have some time off before the show. @katiejepsen…”

In a radio interview she was asked if she remembered the first time she heard herself on the radio.

She replied, “Yes, but it is not G-rated. I’ll tell you and you can use it if you want.”

The Call Me Maybe hitmaker explained that she was out with friends drinking gin martinis for the first time that night.

“I’d had very little experience with alcohol all together at this point, so [I] was sort of like, ‘Well is it kind of like a beer?’ Which it’s not, my friends! Don’t have three gin martinis if you’re 5’2″ and about 100 pounds because it’s not going to sit well.”

When heading home she sat in the middle backseat and told her friends to turn the radio on.

“We start driving and they have Björk on,” Jepsen recounted of hearing her tune from the 2008 album Tug of War. “Which is great, except she’s very dizzy music, OK? She’s great if you’re in a place where you’re settled, you’re not moving and you’re not feeling like you’re going to vomit. So I say to them, ‘Can you please just put the radio on or something else because the Bjork thing is just too dizzy right now!’

“They put on the radio and my song starts — and I’m sick. As I’m being sick, I’m laughing because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ Everyone’s laughing and my Prada purse was ruined. It was a really happy, weird moment.”
