Showing her true colors! Carly Rae Jepsen channeled pop icon Cyndi Lauper while performing for a crowd on Saturday (July 20) at the K-Days fair in Edmonton, Canada. The ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer posted this pic and wrote:
“Last night was kind of magic. For one perfect moment, I felt like Cyndi Lauper. #she’sSOunusual”
Ever the pro, Carly played a full 50-minute set in spite of the fact that it was a rainy night. “Thank you for being here,” she told the crowd of at least 2000, many of whom were taking cover under plastic ponchos and umbrellas.
Carly is missing the annual Boy Scout Jamboree this weekend but by her own choice – in March the singer canceled her planned appearances at the event over the organization’s exclusion of gays. Billboard magazine is reporting that the band 3 Doors Down will be performing in her place.
