One Direction had their New York premiere of This Is Us at the Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (August 26). Attendees included Big Time Rush’s Kendall Schmidt, Stephen Baldwin and his 17-year-old daughter Hailey.
Before the screening Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne goofed around and starting interviewing the fans.
Us Weekly were there to ask about the boys’ reaction to Taylor Swift supposedly dissing Harry at the VMAs when they were on stage during their acceptance speech. The I Knew You Were Trouble singer appeared to mouth “shut the f*ck up!” – causing headlines everywhere.

Louis said, “We were a bit confused. We thought she was actually calling out Niall Horan! so the whole thing’s a bit confusing.”
Supposedly Harry got another dig later when she won the award for Best Female Video for I Knew You Were Trouble – Swift said, “Thank you. Wow. I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot, I really really wanted this. I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!”
Liam added, “I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it’s like, concentrate on yourself!”
When another reporter asked if Swift’s behavior was “lame,” Payne agreed, saying, “Yeah.”
After the show Harry and Taylor posed with Ed Sheeran at the VMAs after-party.
Extra were also at the premiere to ask Harry about the Taylor dissing incident and being at the party with her to which he replied, “I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it’s all good. Yeah, I went for a drink with Ed… and some friends. It was good.”
Styles didn’t miss a beat when asked about Miley Cyrus’ performance.
“I thought it was very reserved. I thought she was very, you know, timid,” He joked. “She’s quite shy. I think she needs to come out of her shell a bit more.”
