The Hunger Games: Catching Fire cast attended the premiere at London’s Leicester Square on Monday (November 11). It was a rainy day but the fans stayed outside for hours. Willow Shields and Elizabeth Banks posted photos on their Instagram accounts.
Variety reports that Jennifer Lawrence – who wore a backless white Dior gown – told the crowd, “I’ve been out here five minutes and I’m complaining!”
The actress arrived in London in her private jet 12 hours after her co-stars.
She explained to Sky News, “Yes, I forgot my passport, and had to fly to another state to get it. It was miserable.”
Other stars such as Sam Claflin, who plays Finnick Odair – talk to the freezing crowd. He asked, “Do you want a sugar cube?!”
Josh Hutcherson – wearing an Armani suit – also said, “Thankfully the first movie was well-received and people were happy with it. And now they’re ready for the next one, people are ravenous for it. It’s a different energy this time.”
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is scheduled to open in U.K. cinemas on Nov. 21 before hitting U.S. screens Nov. 22.
