Jennifer Lawrence’s Old Flare Cover Causes A Stir

Jennifer Lawrence was seriously photoshopped for the 2011 cover of Canada’s Flare magazine. E! News shared the before and after photo as a GIF. It’s been making the rounds on the Internet lately and causing a big stir.

Last month the Hunger Games: Catching Fire actress shared her views on body images with the BBC.

She said, “When we were doing the first The Hunger Games, it was a big discussion, ’cause it’s called The Hunger Games—she’s from District 12, she’s obviously underfed, so she would be incredibly thin. But, I just kept saying, ‘We have the ability to control this image that young girls are going to be seeing. Girls see enough of this body that we can’t imitate, that we’ll never be able to obtain, these unrealistic expectations, and this is gonna be their hero, and we have control over that,” she explained.

In her interview with Australia’s Marie Claire she exclaimed, “No, no, no! I just wouldn’t [diet]. I like the way I look, so if something has to get let out for me to wear it, it has to get let out.”

Meanwhile her film American Hustle is getting rave reviews and has been doing well at the box office.
