Carly Rae Jepsen Headlines Concert Against Bullying

Carly Rae Jepsen is taking on the bullies. The ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer just announced that she’ll be headlining the #UniteLIVE: The Concert to Rock Out Bullying on Oct. 3. The USA Network is sponsoring the show to commemorate National Bullying Prevention Month.

“I am looking forward to hosting and applaud USA Network’s Characters Unite, Flip the Script and Cox Communications for making this important event possible,” Carly said in a statement.

“Change doesn’t happen overnight, but with programs like this, we can spark a dialogue that will make a real difference in putting a stop to bullying,” she continued.

The concert – that will take place from a surprise location – is being produced via a partnership between three organizations: the USA public-service initiative Characters Unite, R&R Partners Foundation’s anti-bullying organization Flip the Script, and Cox Communications.

In addition to headlining the concert, Carly will also appear in a public service announcement titled, “I Won’t Stand For …” that will run on USA Network in October.
