‘Game Of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer Joins ‘The Hunger Games’

Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer has landed the role of Cressida in the third and fourth installments of The Hunger Games. The news was confirmed on the official Hunger Games Twitter page.

The caption read on August 22: “It’s official! Please welcome Natalie Dormer as Cressida to the cast of @TheHungerGames: Mockingjay Parts 1&2”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter –  her character will take on the role of Cressida, a director who joins the rebellion. Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on the novel Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins – the films will follow Katniss Everdeen as she leads a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol in the futuristic land of Panem.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on Nov. 22, 2013. Mockingjay: Part 1 will open on Nov. 21, 2014 and Part 2 will open Nov. 20, 2015.

Later this year Dormer will also be seen in the upcoming Ron Howard movie Rush and in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor.
