He told US Weekly, “Abigail wanted to do something new, something iconic. People see her as innocent, but everyone grows up. After we made Final Girl together, we had a great relationship and it was easy to do this. She trusts me.”
He added they endured a lot together on set stating, “I don’t know if she gets nervous after the hell I put her through making the movie! She was great about it. She’s an incredible actress!”
Breslin said in an interview last month, “I wish I had some great story about the struggle of moving into the more adult roles, but I actually didn’t. I didn’t have a big struggle with it at all. It’s been pretty natural, the transition into the teen and adult realm.”
