Justin Bieber premiered his new Believe movie at the Regal Cinemas LA Live in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday (December 18). The 19-year-old shared a photo via Instagram alongside the caption: “look down.”
On the red carpet MTV asked him if it was true that he would be retiring from music after the December 23 release of Complete My Journals.
Bieber was stone-faced in his response saying, “I don’t know if that’s a joke. I don’t know. I don’t know.”
He added, “I wanna get to know my family more” – and to use 2014 to “figure out myself as a man. I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister.”
He also promised that “something special” would be coming in the new year revealing, “I want to say thank you so much to each and every one of you for staying by my side. I love you with all my heart.”
Earlier on hiis manager Scooter Braun had insisted that the singer is just taking a short break to make time “for himself.”
Braun assured viewers that he would be back in the studio because “that’s where he likes to be.”
